Katie L. Meche
Office Manager/Paralegal
Katie Meche has been employed with the law firm of Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P. as Office Manager/ Paralegal since August, 2002. She is married to Brysen and they reside in Rayne, Louisiana. They have three children, Amber Leger, Toye Hightower & Flint Meche, and are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.
Katie has been employed in the legal field since 1977, and is grateful to have had the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and experience that she has obtained in the field of law. She completed paralegal courses in the mid 80's, attended numerous personal injury seminars and received her Notary license in 2004. Her favorite areas of interest in which she has had ample experience over the years are personal injury cases, including medical malpractice cases, automobile accidents, and offshore accidents. It gives her great satisfaction to be able to listen to her clients and offer encouragement in their time of need.

Renee' Majors
Paralegal
Renee' Majors was employed with Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P., as Rusty Galloway's paralegal in May, 2005, and has been in the legal field since approximately 1996. Her experience encompasses areas of litigation to include personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, bankruptcy, worker's compensation and insurance defense. She graduated from Acadiana Business College in 1988, and became a Notary Public in 2004. Born in Opelousas, Louisiana, she now resides in Lafayette, Louisiana and is the mother of three children.

Christy B. Cormier
Paralegal
Christy Cormier has been in the legal field since 2000. During that time, she has gained experience in several areas of litigation, including, personal injury, domestic and family law, criminal defense, social security disability, longshore and workers' compensation claims. In July, 2008, she accepted the paralegal position to John M. Jefcoat. Christy and her husband, Scott, reside in Lafayette, with their two children, Austin and Carson.

Amy Kimble
Legal Secretary
A native of Texas, Amy Kimble, is a mother of two and a proud grandmother of two. She resides in Louisiana and has since 1996. Amy began employment with Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P. in January, 2005, as the firm's runner and file clerk, and was later promoted to the receptionist position. In January, 2007, she accepted a legal secretary position and is working under the direction of Robert Martina, assisting him with the worker's compensation claims.

Brenda Smith
Paralegal
Brenda (ne’ Comeaux) Smith is a native of Opelousas, a mother of three and grandmother of 6.
In October, 2007, she became a new member on staff with the Galloway Jefcoat law firm as a Bankruptcy Paralegal and Notary Public. Brenda began her career in the legal field in 1978. She has been employed with D. Patrick Keating since 1988. Her experience in the law profession over the past 30 years include bankruptcy, personal injury (plaintiff and defense), domestic, criminal defense, collections, real estate and successions.
After graduating from Opelousas High School, she attended college at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama and LSUE in Eunice, Louisiana. Brenda has been active in civic and church organizations. She was co-founder and charter member of the Optimistic Club of Opelousas wherein she served as President for many years, leading the club to achieve 1st place in international competition for its "Just Say No To Drugs" Campaign. In the church, she has taught pre-school, youth and singles bible classes, served on various committees and member of the choir. Other civic duties included the appointment by Mayor John Joseph to serve on his newly founded Council on Arts and Culture to participate in the drafting of its Charter, obtaining grants and creating art and cultural activities showcasing the community. She served on various committees and as Secretary for 2 years.
Brenda is a people person and enjoys working in bankruptcy law. She feels she can offer not only legal help, but offer support to the clients as they face bankruptcy.

Deanna Breaux
Paralegal
Deanna Breaux is a resident of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and is a single mother, having raised 3 wonderful children (Jackie, Kassy & Damian) and is "Gammie" to 5 grandchildren. She is a 1983 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and 1992 graduate of Lafayette Regional Technical College. She has been continuously employed in the legal field as a Secretary/Paralegal since July of 1996. She is experienced in Family, Real Estate, Plaintiff Personal Injury, and Corporate Law matters. In May, 2008, she joined the staff of Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P. as Brandy Dupuis' paralegal, where her personal and professional experience in dealing with family law matters are utilized.

Courtney Hollier
File Clerk and Runner
Courtney Hollier has been employed with Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P. as the file clerk and runner since December, 2007. Although she is a native of Mire, Louisiana, she now resides in Lafayette. Courtney is a 2007 graduate of Acadiana High School and now attends the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Political Science/Pre-law. She enjoys dancing and teaches at a dance studio here in Lafayette.
